Follow Up Boss Alternatives for Teams: Who Beats $499 for 10?
Most Follow Up Boss alternatives lists are written for one agent. Team leads have a different problem: the bill moves every time you hire or lose someone, and each vendor charges for seats in its own way. So we priced the FUB alternatives that publish a price at 5, 10 and 20 agents. We used each vendor's public pricing page as of November 7, 2026, with no demo calls and no quotes. Follow Up Boss Pro is the benchmark because it's the plan most teams land on: $499 a month with 10 users included, then $49 per extra user. The result surprised us. At 10 agents, only one alternative with a public price comes in under FUB Pro. At 20 agents the order changes. And two well-known names on the shortlist won't show you a number at all until you sit through a demo.
Is There a Cheaper Follow Up Boss Alternative for a Team?
It depends on headcount. At 5 agents, Wise Agent ($129 with separate logins) and Real Geeks ($474) cost less than FUB Pro's $499. At 10 agents, FUB Pro is cheaper than every alternative with a public price except Wise Agent ($249). At 20, Real Geeks ($699) and Sierra Interactive ($924.95) both come in under Pro's $989.
Those figures are monthly-billing list prices, before any lead packages, ad spend or texting credits. They're the number a team lead sees before a sales rep gets involved, which is the number most shortlists get built on. Annual billing lowers several of them, and we cover that further down because it narrows the gap at 20 agents. If you want the full Follow Up Boss tier breakdown first, our look at FUB's three tiers walks through what Grow, Pro and Platform each include. For how agents rate the product itself, see the Follow Up Boss reviews roundup. This post sticks to one question a team lead asks at renewal: if I left, what would the same headcount cost somewhere else?
How We Priced It
We started from the pricing pages, not from review sites, because review sites often carry prices that are a year or more out of date. On November 7, 2026, we read the public pricing pages for Follow Up Boss, Real Geeks, Sierra Interactive, Wise Agent, Lofty and BoldTrail. For each vendor that lists a price, we built the cheapest published configuration that gives every agent a seat at 5, 10 and 20 agents, using monthly billing. Where a vendor has tiers, we picked whichever tier came out lowest at that headcount. Setup fees are counted in the year-one totals but not in the monthly figures. We didn't count lead packages, ad budgets, IDX board fees or texting credits, since those change with your market and how you prospect. Nothing here is a negotiated quote. You'll often get a better number by asking, but you can't compare asks across vendors, and you can compare list prices.
What Each Platform Costs at 5, 10 and 20 Agents
Here's the full grid. Follow Up Boss gets three columns because its plans cross over: Grow is priced per user, and calling is a separate $39 per user per month on Grow, while Pro and Platform include "unlimited calling & texting for all users," according to FUB's pricing page. Real Geeks charges $399 a month for 2 users, then $25 per user for users 3 to 10 and $10 per user for users 11 to 40. Sierra Interactive's Essential tier is $474.95 a month for 3 users plus $60 per user for users 4 to 10. Its Growth tier is $724.95 a month for 5 users, plus $20 per user for users 6 to 10 and $10 per user for users 11 to 49. Wise Agent's $49 plan lets up to 5 team members share one login, with extra logins at $20 a month each and extra team members at $20 per batch of 5.
| Platform (monthly billing) | 5 agents | 10 agents | 20 agents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Follow Up Boss Grow (no calling) | $345 | $690 | $1,380 |
| Follow Up Boss Grow + Calling | $540 | $1,080 | $2,160 |
| Follow Up Boss Pro | $499 | $499 | $989 |
| Real Geeks | $474 | $599 | $699 |
| Sierra Interactive (cheapest tier) | $594.95 (Essential) | $824.95 (Growth) | $924.95 (Growth) |
| Wise Agent (one login per agent) | $129 | $249 | Quote (Enterprise, 15+) |
| Lofty | "Request Pricing" on every plan | ||
| BoldTrail | "Watch demo & get Pricing" | ||
A few of those cells need explaining. The FUB Pro figure at 20 agents is $499 plus 10 extra users at $49, which comes to $989. Real Geeks at 10 is $399 plus 8 users at $25, or $599. At 20 it adds 10 more users at $10, so $699. Sierra at 10 agents is cheapest on Growth ($724.95 plus 5 users at $20), and Essential is cheaper at 5 ($474.95 plus 2 users at $60). The Wise Agent figures assume every agent gets their own login, so 5 agents is $49 plus 4 logins at $20, which is $129. At 10 agents it's $49, plus $20 for a second batch of 5 team members, plus 9 logins at $20, which comes to $249. Wise Agent routes teams of 15 or more to a custom Enterprise quote, so we can't price its 20-agent column. Our Wise Agent team pricing post covers the shared-login catch in detail.
Three Findings We Didn't Expect
FUB Pro gets cheaper per agent until seat 10. On Grow, every seat costs $69, so a 7-agent team pays $483 and an 8-agent team pays $552, which is already above Pro's flat $499. Add Grow's $39 calling add-on and the crossover drops to 5 agents, where Grow plus calling runs $540. Follow Up Boss's own page adds a reason to care about calling: it says "many of the features rely on data produced by the FUB Calling, which is an added charge on the Grow plan," and recommends adding Calling "for better AI results." If your team dials from the CRM, you'll likely end up on Pro before you hit 8 agents anyway. That's why the "cheaper alternative" search usually starts at renewal for teams in the 5 to 9 range. They're paying Pro's flat fee for seats they haven't filled yet. Empty seats aren't free.
Platform costs $11 more than Pro at 20 agents. FUB Platform is $1,000 a month with 30 users included and $20 per extra user. At 20 agents, Pro costs $989. The two lines cross at 21 agents, where Pro is $1,038. So a 20-agent team on Pro is one hire away from paying more than Platform, which also adds "teams within teams," priority support and enhanced onboarding. Do that math first. If you're about to grow past 20, the right move may be an upgrade, not an exit.
The two biggest names on many shortlists won't show a price. Lofty's pricing page lists Lofty Agent, Lofty Team, Lofty Broker and Lofty Enterprise, and every one says "Request Pricing." BoldTrail's pricing page offers "Watch demo & get Pricing." That doesn't make them bad picks, and plenty of teams negotiate good deals with both. But it does mean you can't run this math on them from your desk. If you're comparing those quotes against Follow Up Boss, get them in writing at your real headcount. Ask what the 11th and 21st seats cost, since those are where published curves bend. Our Sierra vs BoldTrail pricing comparison shows how far apart a published price and a quote can land.
Year One Changes the Order Again
Monthly list prices leave out two things that matter in year one: setup fees and annual billing. Real Geeks charges a one-time $500 setup fee and sells 6-month, 12-month and annual commitments. Sierra Interactive charges $500 setup on monthly billing and waives it when you pay annually, and its FAQ says every package is a 12-month agreement either way. Follow Up Boss gives two months free on annual billing, which puts Pro at $416 a month plus $41 per extra user. FUB's pricing page doesn't list a setup fee. Here's what each option costs over the first 12 months, setup included.
| Year-one cost | 10 agents | 20 agents |
|---|---|---|
| Follow Up Boss Pro, monthly billing | $5,988 | $11,868 |
| Follow Up Boss Pro, annual billing | $4,992 | $9,912 |
| Real Geeks (incl. $500 setup) | $7,688 | $8,888 |
| Sierra Interactive Growth, paid annually (setup waived) | $8,399.40 | $9,599.40 |
| Sierra Interactive Growth, monthly (incl. $500 setup) | $10,399.40 | $11,599.40 |
| Wise Agent, monthly billing | $2,988 | Quote |
On annual billing, FUB Pro at 20 agents is $416 plus 10 users at $41, or $826 a month and $9,912 for the year. That's only $1,024 more than Real Geeks' first year, and it's $312.60 more than Sierra Growth paid annually. At 10 agents, FUB Pro on annual billing costs $4,992, well under Real Geeks ($7,688) and Sierra ($8,399.40). So the case for leaving Follow Up Boss on price alone is strongest for a team at 20 or more that's paying monthly. For a 10-agent team, the published numbers say staying put is cheaper unless you're moving to Wise Agent. Keep in mind that Real Geeks' and Sierra's prices include an IDX website, which FUB doesn't sell. If your team pays separately for a site, add that to FUB's column before you compare. Our Real Geeks pricing breakdown covers its lead packages and Geek AI add-on.
Which Alternative Fits Which Team
Price is only the first filter, and each of these platforms is built for a different kind of team. Use the headcount you'll have at your next renewal, then match it to the row below. If none of them fits, the comparison table in our real estate CRM comparison guide covers the wider field.
- 5 agents, cost first: Wise Agent. At $129 a month with a login per agent, it's under a third of FUB Pro's $499. Texting runs $11 a month per 1,000 credits plus a one-time $80 registration fee.
- 8 to 20 agents who dial from the CRM: stay on Follow Up Boss Pro. Calling and texting are included for every user, and no alternative with a public price beats $499 at 10 agents except Wise Agent.
- 20 or more agents who also need an IDX site: price Real Geeks. It's $699 a month at 20 agents, versus FUB Pro's $989, and the site is included. Get the lead guarantee terms in writing if you buy a lead package.
- Teams that want the CRM and site on one 12-month contract: Sierra Interactive. On monthly billing it costs more than FUB Pro at 5 and 10 agents and only $64.05 less at 20, so the reason to choose it has to be the product, not the price.
- Lofty or BoldTrail on the shortlist: ask for a written quote at your real headcount, including the price of seats 11 and 21, before you compare.
