Is Shilo AI Worth It? $49 for Solo Agents, a Quote for Teams
Is Shilo AI worth it? Until August, you couldn't even find out what it cost without booking a demo. On August 12, 2026, Shilo launched a self-serve plan for individual agents at $49 a month, and its pricing page now shows two options: Solo, with a posted price, and Team, which still says "We'll scope it on the demo." Shilo grades every recorded call, runs role play, and holds a weekly voice-to-voice 1:1 coaching session built from the agent's own calls. For a solo agent the decision is simple math. For a team lead it's a different question, because the Team plan bills a shared pool of coaching hours instead of seats. Here's the verdict, what each plan includes, what the reviews do and don't tell you, and how to decide during the 7-day trial.
Is Shilo AI Worth It? The Quick Verdict
Yes, if your calls are recorded in a CRM Shilo connects to and you make enough of them to grade. At $49 a month, Shilo Solo costs $588 a year for call grading, role play and a weekly AI 1:1. If you call from a personal cell with no recording, you're paying mostly for role play, and the case gets much weaker.
For teams, the verdict depends on the quote. Shilo's Team plan adds manager controls, team-wide visibility, lead enrichment and a shared pool of coaching hours sized from "a free analysis of team size and call activity." That's real value for a team lead who currently skips 1:1s when the month gets busy. But because Shilo doesn't post the Team price, you need a yardstick before the demo, and Shilo handed you one: Solo seats. Ten agents on Solo would cost $490 a month. A Team quote above that is charging for the dashboards, pooled hours and enrichment, so ask the rep to show you which of those you'd actually use. A quote below it is a straightforward win.
Who Shilo Is Built For, and Who Should Skip It
Shilo coaches how agents talk, not how much they prospect. The product grades conversations against what Shilo calls a 5-star standard, flags where calls slip, and suggests replacement lines for the moments that went wrong. That makes it a fit for an agent who's already on the phone every day and losing appointments in the conversation itself, and for a team lead whose newer agents need reps faster than one manager can give them. It's a poor fit if call volume is the problem. An agent making five calls a week doesn't produce enough material to grade, and no amount of feedback fixes a pipeline that's empty. The other hard requirement is recording. Shilo's launch release says grading starts "once a supported CRM is connected," and role play is the piece that works for agents who don't record calls. If your team calls from personal phones, fix that first.
What You Get: Call Grading, Role Play and the Weekly 1:1
Every Solo account includes the same core set, according to Shilo's pricing page: unlimited usage under a fair-use policy, grading on every call, on-demand role play, a weekly 1:1 coaching session, a personal performance dashboard and a CRM connection Shilo says takes five minutes. The 1:1 is the feature that separates Shilo from a call-recording tool with a scorecard. HousingWire reported in July that the AI builds each session's agenda from the agent's own call data, summarizes action items and carries context into the next meeting. In a 200-agent beta, sessions averaged 13 minutes. Run that weekly for a year and it's about 11 hours of one-on-one coaching per agent, or roughly 113 hours across a 10-agent team, time a team lead would otherwise have to find on the calendar. "We didn't build a bot that spits out tips," CEO Justin Benson told HousingWire.
The Team plan keeps all of that and adds the manager layer: team-wide visibility, admin and manager controls, faster agent onboarding, lead enrichment for CRM contacts, and priority onboarding and support. Inside BoldTrail, the Inside Real Estate help article describes the leader view as team performance trends, individual agent profiles, fair housing keyword monitoring and organization-wide benchmarking. That fair housing monitoring is easy to overlook and may matter more to a broker than the coaching itself. It means someone is listening to every recorded call for language that creates liability, which no team lead does manually. If your team has grown past the point where you can review calls yourself, that's the strongest argument for Team over a stack of Solo seats.
Shilo Pricing: $49 Solo vs. a Team Quote
Shilo Solo is $49 a month, "billed every 3 months," with a 7-day free trial, cancellation from account settings and no long-term contract. The page doesn't print the per-charge total, but at $49 a month a quarterly bill works out to $147, and a full year costs $588. The Team plan has no published price. Shilo says it's "priced for your team's needs" and that usage is "based on team's needs," drawn from a shared pool of hours rather than per-agent seats. That pooled model is worth understanding before the demo. A team where three agents make most of the calls may need far fewer coaching hours than its headcount suggests, and that's where a Team quote can come in under the Solo-seat math.
| Agents on Shilo Solo | Monthly cost | Annual cost |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $49 | $588 |
| 5 | $245 | $2,940 |
| 10 | $490 | $5,880 |
| 20 | $980 | $11,760 |
Shilo itself frames the comparison against a human. The HousingWire piece cites $80,000 to $120,000 a year as the cost of a human sales manager, Shilo's figure, not ours. Ten Solo seats at $5,880 a year come to between 4.9% and 7.4% of that range. That isn't a like-for-like trade, since a sales manager recruits, holds agents accountable and handles the hard conversations an AI won't. It does tell you what Shilo is really priced against: the coaching hour you weren't going to get to. If turnover is the bigger cost on your team, our agent turnover math puts a number on each departure, and coaching is one of the few levers that touches it.
Shilo Reviews: What You Can and Can't Find Yet
If you searched "Shilo AI reviews" hoping for a stack of user ratings, there isn't one yet. Searches of G2, Capterra and Reddit on November 1, 2026 turned up no user reviews of the product, and Shilo's listing on the Sure Send marketplace shows "No reviews yet" with a 0.0 rating. What exists instead is a set of signals you should weigh for what they are. Shilo won Inman's first Pitch Battle at Inman Connect San Diego in July, beating seven other companies in front of five judges, and co-founder Justin Benson told Inman that "Shilo has coached almost 8,000 people this month alone." HousingWire reported that beta users rated the 1:1 product no lower than 7 out of 10 on any dimension, an internal survey. Those are vendor-reported numbers, not reviews, and the 7-day trial is the only test that answers the question for your calls.
Where Shilo Plugs In: BoldTrail and Your CRM
BoldTrail teams have the shortest path. Shilo is built into BoldTrail, so coaching insights land in the contact timeline, and an admin turns it on from the BoldTrail Marketplace tile. Two requirements come with it, per Inside Real Estate's help article: call recording has to be enabled on the BoldTrail Smart Number, and individual agents can't switch it on themselves; they have to ask their broker or team leader. The same article says Shilo's grading engine is "trained on over 3 million real estate calls" and rates each call from 1 to 5 stars. If you're weighing BoldTrail itself, our BoldTrail pricing guide breaks down the plan costs, and Follow Up Boss vs BoldTrail covers which one gives a team lead better accountability tools. Outside BoldTrail, Solo connects through what Shilo calls direct CRM connections built with its integration partners, and the launch release says no team admin is needed to set it up.
How to Decide During the 7-Day Trial
Seven days is enough if you plan them. Here's the order to run it in:
- Day 1: connect your CRM and confirm calls are flowing. If grading doesn't start, you've learned the most important thing about fit already.
- Days 1 to 3: read the grades on 10 calls you remember. Check whether the feedback matches what actually happened and whether the suggested lines are ones you'd say.
- Day 2: run three role plays on your weakest objection. This is the part that works even without recorded calls.
- Days 4 to 6: sit the weekly 1:1. Judge whether the agenda came from your calls or felt generic.
- Day 7: compare appointment-set rate on the dashboard with your CRM. One week won't prove a lift, but it shows whether the tracking is accurate enough to trust for the next 90 days.
Team leads should run the trial on two agents, one strong and one struggling, before booking the Team demo, then bring the Solo-seat math to that call. For a full side-by-side with production-focused coaching tools, see our Shilo AI vs Sisu Sunburst comparison.
Shilo can make your agents better on the calls they get. It can't create the calls. If your agents have the skills and not enough seller conversations, the fix is upstream of coaching. RobinFlow builds home-valuation funnels and seller-lead campaigns that put homeowners into your CRM, so your newly coached agents have someone to call. Start your RobinFlow onboarding and see what a seller-lead campaign would look like for your team.
