BoldTrail BackOffice Pricing: $5 or $60 a Seat? A 12x Gap

BoldTrail BackOffice pricing is the question brokers keep typing into Google, and BoldTrail is the one company that won't answer it in public. The back-office product (formerly Brokermint) handles commissions, agent billing and transaction files for brokerages on BoldTrail. Its product page shows features, a demo button and a quiz. No dollar figure. So we priced it the only way a broker can before a sales call: from every published source we could find, benchmarked against competitors that do post their prices.

TL;DR: BoldTrail BackOffice is quote-only. The one published range, $5 to $60 per user per month, puts a 25-seat brokerage anywhere from $1,500 to $18,000 a year. Paperless Pipeline publishes a commission-tracking plan at $254 a month for up to 25 new files, so any BoldTrail quote above about $10 per seat needs a reason.

How Much Does BoldTrail BackOffice Cost?

BoldTrail doesn't publish a price for BackOffice. The only public range, from a SourceForge listing, is $5 to $60 per user per month, set by total seats and plan tier. For a 25-seat brokerage that's $125 to $1,500 a month, a 12x spread, so you'll need a written quote to know your real number.

That range is wide enough to be nearly useless on its own, and it comes with a warning label. A June 2026 independent review of Brokermint describes the pricing as quote-based and tells readers, "Do not treat old third-party Brokermint price estimates as current official pricing." We agree with that caution, which is why this piece doesn't stop at the range. The useful number for a broker isn't what some directory says BoldTrail charges. It's the price at which BackOffice stops being competitive with tools you can price today without a demo, because that number tells you when to push back on a quote. We work that out below for brokerages of 10, 25 and 50 seats.

Robin Take: A vendor that hides its price is betting you won't build a benchmark before the demo. Build it. Walk in knowing your break-even seat price, and the sales call becomes a negotiation instead of a reveal.

What We Checked, and Why

The demand is real. RobinFlow's own Search Console data shows brokers asking long-form questions like "what do boldtrail backoffice reviews say about pricing and value?", and the page answering them today is a CRM pricing post, not a BackOffice page. That's a gap, and brokers deserve a straight answer. On October 24, 2026 we pulled five sources. The first was BoldTrail's own BackOffice page. Next came the SourceForge listing, the only page that published a per-user range we could fetch, plus the June 2026 independent review. The last two were the public pricing pages of two back-office competitors, Paperless Pipeline and Loft47. Capterra, G2 and GetApp blocked automated access, so we haven't quoted their ratings here.

The method is simple arithmetic, and you can repeat it with your own numbers. We priced three brokerage sizes, 10, 25 and 50 seats, where a seat is any agent or admin with a login. For the per-transaction competitor, we assumed each agent opens 10 new transaction files a year, which puts a 25-agent office at roughly 21 new files a month. Swap in your real file count before you trust any total. Everything here is software cost only. Implementation time, data migration and training aren't in the figures, and they're often what decides whether a switch pays off in year one.

Finding 1: The Published Range Spans 12x at Every Size

Here's what the $5 to $60 range means in dollars. Every row has the same 12x gap between the floor and the ceiling, because the range itself is 12x.

SeatsMonthly at $5/seatMonthly at $60/seatAnnual range
10$50$600$600 to $7,200
25$125$1,500$1,500 to $18,000
50$250$3,000$3,000 to $36,000

A 50-seat brokerage could be quoted $3,000 or $36,000 a year for the same product, and both would sit inside the only public range. SourceForge says the price depends on total seats and on which of three tiers you pick, which it names Simple Start, Standard and Enterprise. What the range doesn't tell you is which features sit in which tier. That matters, because BoldTrail's BackOffice page lists a lot: commission automation with splits, fees, sliding scales and unlimited commission plans, agent billing, next-day ACH disbursements, a chart of accounts, agent and transaction ledgers, checklists, forms, eSignature, onboarding and a custom report builder. If the low end of the range covers only part of that list, the $5 floor isn't a real option for most offices.

Count every login: Seat-based pricing counts admins, transaction coordinators and part-time agents. A 25-agent office with 3 admins is a 28-seat quote.

Finding 2: Two Competitors Publish What BoldTrail Won't

Paperless Pipeline prices by new transactions per month, not by seats, and includes unlimited users. With its Commission Module, which adds splits, caps, fees, agent net statements and auto-generated CDAs, plans run $198 a month for up to 10 new files, $254 for up to 25, $304 for up to 40 and $454 for up to 80. Setup is free, there's a 14-day trial, and billing is month to month with no cancellation fee. Loft47 prices by active agent count. Its table lists $1,000 a month for licensing only at 0 to 99 agents, plus a $2,000 one-time setup fee, though its headline shows $600 a month, so confirm which applies. Either way, Loft47 says there are no contracts and asks for 30 days' notice to leave.

Brokerage sizePaperless Pipeline (with commissions)AnnualBoldTrail break-even per seat
10 agents, about 8 new files a month$198/mo (up to 10 files)$2,376$19.80
25 agents, about 21 new files a month$254/mo (up to 25 files)$3,048$10.16
50 agents, about 42 new files a month$454/mo (up to 80 files)$5,448$9.08

The break-even column is the number to bring to your demo. It's the Paperless Pipeline monthly price divided by your seat count. A 25-seat brokerage that gets a BoldTrail quote above $10.16 per seat is paying more for software than Paperless Pipeline's published commission plan. A 50-seat office crosses that line at $9.08. Notice the trend: the bigger you get, the lower BoldTrail's per-seat price has to be to compete, because a per-transaction model spreads one bill across every login. Loft47's licensing table works out to $12,000 a year at the table rate, or $14,000 in year one with setup, far above Paperless Pipeline at every size we priced.

Surprises: The Listings Don't Agree With Each Other

Three things stood out. First, nobody agrees on BoldTrail BackOffice's tier names. SourceForge lists Simple Start, Standard and Enterprise, while the June 2026 review says the official plans page shows Standard and Professional, with Professional adding accounting, agent billing, next-day ACH payments, CRM integration, API access, custom branding and SSO. Second, SourceForge's feature grid marks tiered, split and flat commissions as not supported, which flatly contradicts BoldTrail's own page advertising splits, sliding scales and unlimited commission plans. Directory data is clearly stale in places. Third, the review sample is tiny: SourceForge shows 4.2 out of 5 from just 9 reviews, with sub-scores of 4.4 for features and 4.3 for support. Nine reviews can't carry a buying decision for a 50-agent brokerage.

The practical takeaway is to treat every third-party detail as a question for your demo, not an answer. If a directory says a feature is missing and the vendor page says it's included, ask which tier includes it and get that in writing. Our BoldTrail reviews guide notes that BackOffice and Recruit are priced separately from the core CRM, so a BoldTrail quote can stack several line items. If you're pricing the whole platform, start with our BoldTrail pricing guide for the CRM side before you add BackOffice.

Verdict: Who Should Take the BoldTrail Demo

Take the demo if your brokerage already runs on BoldTrail. The BackOffice page lists a direct connection to BoldTrail contact data, and keeping CRM and commissions in one vendor can save real admin hours that no price sheet captures. Skip it, or at least benchmark hard, if you're a 10- to 25-agent office not on BoldTrail, where Paperless Pipeline's published plan sets a clear ceiling. Still tracking splits in a spreadsheet? Fix that first: we broke down what manual commission tracking costs a brokerage, and the answer usually justifies any of these tools.

Before the call, ask these five questions and get every answer in writing:

  1. What's the per-seat price at our seat count, and do admins and transaction coordinators count as seats?
  2. Which tier includes next-day ACH disbursements and the QuickBooks integration?
  3. Are splits, sliding scales and caps in the tier you're quoting, or only in a higher one?
  4. What does onboarding cost, and is the contract annual or month to month?
  5. Can we export all transaction and commission data in a usable format if we leave?

Back-office software keeps the money side of a brokerage clean, but it doesn't put a single listing on the board. The growth side is where RobinFlow works: home-valuation funnels and seller-lead campaigns your agents can run under the brokerage brand, measured from first click to signed listing. If you're reworking your stack this quarter, start your free onboarding and see how seller-lead generation plugs into whichever back office you choose.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does BoldTrail publish BackOffice pricing?

No. BoldTrail's BackOffice page shows features, a demo request, a package quiz and a sales phone line, but no prices. A June 2026 independent review also describes BackOffice pricing as quote-based.

What is BoldTrail BackOffice's price per user?

The only published range we found is SourceForge's $5 to $60 per user per month, based on total seats and plan tier. BoldTrail hasn't confirmed it, so treat it as a rough bracket and get a written quote.

Is BoldTrail BackOffice the same as Brokermint?

Yes. The June 2026 independent review describes Brokermint as now presented as BoldTrail BackOffice, the commission, accounting and transaction module that sits alongside the BoldTrail CRM.

What's a cheaper alternative to BoldTrail BackOffice?

Paperless Pipeline publishes its pricing: $254 a month with commission tracking for up to 25 new transactions, with unlimited users and free setup. For a 25-seat brokerage, that beats any BoldTrail quote above $10.16 per seat.

Is BoldTrail BackOffice worth it for a small brokerage?

It's worth it mainly if you already use the BoldTrail CRM, since BackOffice connects to BoldTrail contact data. A 10-agent office not on BoldTrail can compare against Paperless Pipeline's $198 monthly plan, which sets a $19.80 per-seat break-even.
