Agent Crate vs Modern Agent: $99 Posts for You, $97 Doesn't
Agent Crate vs Modern Agent looks like a price fight, and on price it's close to a tie. Agent Crate's Automate plan costs $99 a month. Modern Agent Social Club costs $97. On annual billing, the gap is $20 a year. But the two products sell opposite things. For its $99, Agent Crate publishes four Instagram posts a week to your account and shares them to Facebook without you touching them. For its $97, the Social Club hands you a weekly plan, prompts, templates and group coaching, and then you do the posting. One buys back your time. The other tries to make the time you spend count for more. We pulled both pricing pages on November 4, 2026, so every number below is current. You'll get the plan-by-plan costs, a per-post figure, an honest estimate of the hours each one asks of you, and a clear way to decide.
Which Is Better for Social Media Content: Agent Crate or Modern Agent?
Agent Crate is better if you want posts going out without your effort. Its $99 Automate plan publishes four Instagram posts a week and shares them to Facebook. Modern Agent Social Club is better if you'll create your own content and want a plan and coaching. It costs $97 a month, and you post yourself.
The search phrase "Modern Agent" points to two different companies, so it's worth a sentence to make sure you're comparing the right one. Modern Agent Social Club, at modernagentsocialclub.com, is the content membership most agents mean when they stack it against Agent Crate or Coffee & Contracts. A separate company called ModernAgent sells an automated social platform. A September 2020 BeachesMLS announcement described it as a "real estate social media Platform" that could schedule and post chosen content to an agent's Facebook page. Its website didn't load when we tried it on November 4, so we couldn't confirm a current price, and it isn't priced here. If your MLS bundles ModernAgent, check your member benefits page before paying for either tool in this comparison.
Who Each One Is Built For
Agent Crate is built for the agent who knows social media matters and keeps not doing it. The Agent Crate pricing page sells four tiers, and three of them publish for you. Automate runs real estate posts on a schedule. Grow adds a CRM and landing pages on top. Branded swaps the shared library for three designer-made posts a week in your colors, with your logo and headshot. You can still log in and post your own listings or a personal update, but nothing depends on it. The Social Club is built for the opposite agent: someone willing to post, film short reels and send a weekly email, who wants a system and a coach rather than a robot. Its features page leads with "personality-infused content," and its homepage says the program has coached 5,442 agents. Your face and your voice do the work there.
Agent Crate vs Modern Agent Pricing, Side by Side
Here's every plan from both pricing pages as of November 4, 2026. Agent Crate lists annual prices for three of its four tiers; Grow shows only a monthly price. The Social Club has one membership with two billing options. Neither page mentions a free trial, and both say you can cancel anytime. Agent Crate's FAQ adds that it has "no long-term contracts," and the Social Club calls itself "a month to month membership."
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Posts for you? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agent Crate Create | $59 | $590 | No. Templates and AI writing tools only |
| Agent Crate Automate | $99 | $990 | Yes. 4 Instagram posts a week, shared to Facebook |
| Agent Crate Grow · CRM | $149 | Not listed | Yes, plus CRM and landing pages |
| Agent Crate Branded | $199 | $1,990 | Yes. 3 custom-branded posts a week |
| Modern Agent Social Club | $97 | $970 ($80.83 a month) | No. You post from its weekly plan |
The chart shows the comparison most roundups miss. If you line up the two DIY options, Agent Crate Create at $590 a year is $380 cheaper than the Social Club at $970. That's the fair fight for an agent who plans to post their own content, since neither one publishes anything for you. The Social Club's extra $380 buys coaching calls, a private podcast, 20+ lead magnets and a weekly email template, none of which Create includes. If you line up the two options at roughly $97 to $99 a month, you're comparing a plan you carry out against posts that go out on their own. Each lineup is honest. Which one applies depends on whether you want to do the posting yourself.
What $97 to $99 a Month Actually Buys
On Agent Crate Automate, the deliverable is a count. Four Instagram posts a week, shared to Facebook, comes to 208 posts a year. On annual billing that works out to $4.76 a post ($990 divided by 208). You also get everything in Create: a monthly content calendar, 500+ templates you can edit with your colors, fonts, logo and brokerage details, reels, carousels, and AI generators for captions, bios and blogs. One caution from the pricing page itself: the plan cards say Grow posts four times a week, while the comparison table says three. Ask support which is right before you pick Grow for the posting volume. Branded costs more per post because a designer builds each one. At three posts a week, 156 a year, the $1,990 annual price is $12.76 a post. You're paying for posts that look like your brand rather than a shared library thousands of other agents also use.
The Social Club doesn't publish a post count, so a per-post figure isn't possible. Its features page lists what you get instead. Every Monday you get a "what to do this week" plan with daily prompts. You also get plug-and-play graphics and captions, "5 minute reel prompts," story prompts, weekly email templates, 20+ lead magnets, a stock photo library, a private podcast, group coaching calls, Q&As and challenges built around its seven-step "Modern Agent Method." The homepage says most content is edited in Canva and points to Flodesk for email. Nothing on either page says the Club schedules or publishes posts for you. That's by design. The product bets that posts in your own voice and on camera beat polished posts that anyone could have published.
The Time Math: Posting for You vs Prompting You
Price is close, so time is where these two really separate. The Social Club's homepage says its prompts "average only 18 minutes to complete." If you do one each weekday, that's 90 minutes a week, or 78 hours across a year. That's our assumption about how often you'd use it, not a number the Club publishes, but it's the right order of magnitude for anyone following a daily plan. Agent Crate Automate's time cost is close to zero once you've set it up, because posts publish without you. If you add a weekly personal post on top, which is a good idea on any plan, you might spend 15 minutes a week. So the real question for most agents isn't $97 versus $99. It's whether 78 hours of your year are better spent filming reels and writing captions, or prospecting, showing homes and calling past clients.
Neither answer is wrong. Short videos with your face can build trust that template graphics can't, and the Social Club's testimonials lean hard on that. But hours spent on content only pay off if you track where the business comes from. In our earlier look at how few agents track social media ROI, the gap between belief and measurement was wide. Before you commit to either tool, decide how you'll know it worked. Pick one number, such as direct messages that turn into appointments, and check it after 90 days. If you're also weighing Agent Crate against other done-for-you services, our Agent Crate vs Coffee & Contracts comparison covers the other popular option on the same terms.
Where the Content Sends People
A post is only as useful as the page it sends people to. Agent Crate's Grow tier is the only plan here with a built-in destination: a CRM, a landing page builder, a deal pipeline, automated email campaigns and triggers. For $50 more a month than Automate, a follower who taps your link can land on a page that captures their details and starts a follow-up sequence. On Automate, Create and Branded, you'll need your own link destination. The Social Club's 20+ lead magnets give you something to offer in exchange for an email address, and its Flodesk references suggest that's where the list lives. Neither pricing page mentions sending leads into an outside real estate CRM. So if you already run Follow Up Boss, Lofty or BoldTrail, plan on using a link-in-bio page or landing page that feeds that CRM. For seller leads in particular, a home valuation funnel is one of the few offers homeowners reliably trade an address for.
Verdict: Pick by the Hours You Don't Have
Buy Agent Crate Automate at $99 a month if your feed has gone quiet for weeks at a time and you want it active by next Monday. Move up to Branded at $199 if you're in a competitive market where shared-library posts would show up in the same feeds as other agents'. Choose Grow at $149 only if you don't have a CRM yet. Buy Modern Agent Social Club at $97 a month, or $970 a year, if you'll actually film reels, send a weekly email and show up to group coaching, and if the 78 hours or so a year is time you'd otherwise lose to scrolling, not to prospecting. If you can't decide, start with one month of whichever fits your honest answer to the 90-day posting question above. Both cancel anytime. If you want more options first, our Agent Crate alternatives roundup prices four other picks.
